Hello there 2015

Every year is a bit of a rollercoaster but this year there have been more ups than downs which makes a nice change. 2014 was the year where eveything in my life seemed to fall into place a little more, I discovered what I want to do as a career and I made great progress towards that including getting pretty darn good exam results, getting a job in an Opticians, and applying to University. I have also become pretty secure in my friendships this year which sounds stupid but it takes a lot for me to trust people and this year I feel like I've just hammered down those walls and let people in. This year I want to make a small list of things that I want do this year, I guess they are sort of New Year's Resolutions but not in the typical 'no chocolate, all the exercise' way. More like a natural progression, things that I want to achieve in the coming year of my life.

    1. Read more: I am setting myself the challenge of reading 30 books this year which may not sound like a lot but this year is going to hold some pretty big changes. Hopefully in September I will be moving to Glasgow to attend University and obviously I have no idea what life will be like then, and of course right now I am studying advanced highers which I will take the exams of in May so it'll be pretty time consuming. Depending on how I get on I might up the book numbers as the year goes on.

     2. Take more risks: I think I have done pretty well in those respects in 2014 year and I want to continue forcing myself out of my comfort zone this year.

     3. Do more of what makes me happy: I think this is a pretty obvious one but I want to let my hair down a little more and do more outside of studying and work. I want to find things I am passionate about and do them.

    4. Get my first tattoo: I have always loved tattoos, I've been pretty obsessed with them to be honest, and come September this year I will be 18 and officially old enough to get my first one and I can't wait. I already have a few ideas floating around my head but just have to decide on which one I love enough to actually get inked into my skin for the rest of my life.

So there are my aims for this year, along with the obvious like doing well in my exams and getting into uni, that is what I hope to achieve this year. As the year goes on I will probably make little additions to this list if I think of more things, and hopefully this time next year I will have a look back and see how well I have done in achieving these goals.
